It’s one of those days where the sun is peeking a bit too enthusiastically through my window as I draw this. So Ashley had to tell it off.
The real problem she has is that at the speed of sound, 1,236kph, it will take 13.8 years before the sun hears her complaint. Plus the additional 8 minutes to see the sun’s reaction, of course.
Other than that minor detail, this is completely scientifically valid. 😉
Personally I’m hoping the sun can read lips. Which would put us at about 16 minutes I guess. Because the sound might run into problems with the whole vacuum of space thing. Although that might just be an excuse the sound made up because it doesn’t want to travel for 13.8 years.
I suppose she could write up a big sign and hold it up for the sun to see. Then again, its really way too hot to go through all that work, better wait until it cools down a bit first.
