A lot of children are not age appropriate for their own age. It’s a difficult conundrum to solve. Maybe just don’t let them talk to themselves.

Actually, now that I think about it, little kids NEVER get eaten by monsters in horror movies, they pretty much have a 100% chance of survival, but teenagers have almost no chance at all of surviving to the end of the movie. So, to answer her question, apparently 13 is how old you have to be to get eaten by a monster.
Wait, there are the ones with creepy children though. Are children and monsters allied? Or are monsters afraid of children?
Children are scary.
Like really scary.
Like leave this solar system alone and eat some other star scary.
